Here are some tips to help manage your child’s breathing problems, if you plan to travel this holiday season:
-Keep your child’s breathing medications handy. For example, keep them in your carry-on bag on an airplane (not checked bags) if you are flying.
-Request a dry, sunny, non-smoking hotel room.
-If you are staying over with friends or family, ask them to dust and vacuum the house before you arrive.
-For travel abroad, bring a list of the generic names of your child’s medications, just in case the medicines have different names in other countries.
-Don’t forget to bring your child’s insurance card and their asthma action plan (if they have one)!
